Data protection and security at planistar

planistar only collects, processes and stores information and personal data for the purpose of pursuing business relations. All personal data transferred to planistar is appropriately protected from access by third parties. Data is treated in accordance with the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the German Telemedia Act (TMG) and the German Interstate Agreement on Media Services (MDStV). Your personal data is not collected when you visit the planistar website.

Data collected

planistar only collects data when doing so is necessary for pursuing business relations, including for the purpose of sending newsletters to its clients and interested parties. These individuals are entitled, at any time, to receive information about the data planistar has stored about them.

Personal data

Personal data is information which can be used to determine a person’s identity. Examples of such information include names, addresses, postal addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses. Personal data does not include information which cannot be used for identification purposes (such as the number of visitors to a webpage).

In order to process and deliver orders, planistar only transfers personal data to the delivery service contracted to handle the delivery. Steps are taken to ensure that all data collected is only collected, stored, used and processed in accordance with the law.

In order for you to make enquiries or place orders with planistar and in order for your enquiries and orders to be processed, planistar needs your first name, surname, email address, billing address and, if different, your delivery address (street name and number, town/city, postcode) as well as your telephone and fax numbers. You will receive an order confirmation by email, fax or post immediately after placing your order. planistar also requires your email address and telephone number in order to contact you quickly in the event of any queries and to provide you with information relating to an enquiry or order. If you are paying on delivery, planistar does not require any information in addition to the details specified above. If you are paying by direct debit, additional data is needed to process your order. This allows planistar to fulfil your order and to keep you up to date with the order status.

Right of withdrawal

Newsletter and information

If you request informative materials, newsletters or brochures, planistar may ask you for your name and other personal information, at the very least your email address. You are free to decide whether you wish to provide planistar with this information. planistar will store this information on its in-house server. Access to this server is only granted to a few authorised individuals who are responsible for technical, commercial or editorial support activities in relation to the server. If you no longer wish to make use of these services, you may simply inform planistar accordingly.

The future of your personal data

planistar will not disclose your personal data unless required to do so by law. You may view and amend your personal data at any time. You are entitled to receive information about what data planistar holds about you at any time. planistar will delete or block data which is no longer required subject to statutory provisions and guidelines issued by public authorities.

As is common practice among all internet providers, planistar continuously evaluates visits to its website and your internet service provider's domain in order to improve its services. planistar will anonymise your personal usage data when compiling statistics for this purpose.
